Funeral in islands and Crete

Package price for transfer of the deceased to the Greek islands €700

Siatras Funeral Home undertakes the preparation and transfer of the deceased to the Greek islands, to the place chosen by the family.

In cases where there is no local funeral home, we can also undertake the funeral service until its completion, with responsibility and respect.

We accept all credit and debit cards. Installments are available with all credit cards. We provide an official Service Invoice accepted by all insurance funds.

What the transfer package to the Greek islands includes

High-strength coffin suitable for transport, economy category.
Coffin set: pillow, shroud, sheet, etc.
Vehicle and staff for the transfer of the deceased.
Dressing of the deceased with clothes provided by the family.
Death declaration at the registry office.
Embalming expenses, where required by law.
Required official transfer permits.
Cost of sanitary measures for the prevention of infectious diseases.
Transfer to the port or airport within Attica.

What is usually not included in the transfer package

The following are usually not required and are not included in the above transfer package for the deceased to the Greek islands:

Special coffin packaging where required. It is not required for Crete.
Transfer cost for autopsy, if requested.
Ferry or airfare costs. For Crete by ferry, this is free of charge.
Flower decoration of the coffin.
Higher quality coffin.
Stay in a refrigerated chamber, due to lack of available routes or at the family’s request.
Collection of the deceased from Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”, which is charged with customs clearance costs and transfer expenses.
Driver and hearse cost, if required for transport on the island or requested by the family for the funeral service.
VAT.
